CPLG Sport is a trading division of Copyright Promotions Licensing Group (CPLG). Founded in 1996 and headed up by Chris Protheroe, CPLG Sport is based in the London office working on a global basis. Our clients are some of the biggest and most recognisable brand owners in the sport arena. CPLG Sport specialises in representing third party licensing rights and building brands through comprehensive commercial rights programmes. We also offer our clients a full partnership programme from Official Supplier to Official partners.
CPLG Sport's work with our clients has been recognised by many awards from the industry. We pride ourselves on offering bespoke solutions to our clients needs. We represent a diverse range of sports and all require a different approach.
Recent CPLG Sport achievements worth mentioning include;
- St Andrews Links appointing CPLG Sport as their first commercial agency in their 600-year history
- Within 6 months of being appointed as West Ham United's official licensing company licensing revenues increased by 119%!
- Within 18 months of being appointed by Everton Football Club we increased the number of licensees by 300% as well as introducing new suppliers to their stores and creating a wider retail presence for the Everton brand
- Over the years we have licensed many different products to over 100 different licensees for the RFU recently adding Marks and Spencer as both the Official Formalwear Supplier and as a licensee for both adult and children's wear
- We are proud of the fact that every one of our current clients has either renewed or is in the process of renewing their representation agreements with us. The RFU is just entering its third four-year term
