The Flower Fairies were created by Cicely Mary Barker. She was born in England in 1895. Early in her childhood, Cicely proved to have a gift for painting and drawing. Her big breakthrough came in 1923 when the first book of the Flower Fairies was published, Flower fairies of The Spring.
Meticulously detailed and beautifully executed, Flower Fairies are simply the best fairies, designed to encourage children to use their imagination.
There is an ongoing publishing program of the Flower Fairies and Flower Fairies Friends. In 2008 8 new titles were published by Frederick Warne. The books have been translated into 11 languages, including Dutch.
With over 130 licensees worldwide, this concept appeals to both adults and children across collectables, stationery, apparel, homewares and toys.
