Congratulations to the RFU for winning the Best Licensed Sports Property award at the Licensing Awards 2009!

The England Rugby Team is one of the world's most recognised and respected. Embodying strength, spirit, organisation and team work, England Rugby has achieved great success in recent times. Having beaten the home team in the final to win the Rugby World Cup in Australia in 2003, this was followed up by reaching the World Cup Final in 2007.

With Martin Johnson - the man who captained England to World Cup victory in 2003 - recently installed as England team manager and a new look team, these are exciting time for English rugby. With the annual RBS Six Nations competition, not to mention the 2011 World Cup to qualify for, there are major challenges ahead for the team to meet and overcome.

Twickenham Stadium, with a capacity of 82,000 is the home of England Rugby and the world's most famous rugby stadium. The 2009/10 season celebrates the 100th anniversary of this iconic venue.

With recent successes on the pitch, the licensing programme has developed at a rapid rate and has been transformed in the past two years into one of 'best in class' licensees.

Over the years we have licensed many different products to over 100 different licensees for the RFU recently adding Marks and Spencer as both the Official Formalwear Supplier and as a licensee for both adult and children's wear
