Miami Vice
Set against the postmodern cityscape of sun-baked beach houses, sultry nightlife and pop culture decadence, Miami Vice became one of the most visually stunning television shows of the 1980s. The show changed the face of television forever with its fast and flashy cars, cool, clothes, pulsating music track and hard-core police drama. The series followed Crockett and Tubbs, two of Miami's finest as they cruised the seedy streets of the Florida underworld with an arresting attitude all their own.

  • Miami Vice's five-year fun helped define the decade, making white suits and synthesized music tracks "must haves" for fans of the show and the population in general
  • The series garnered critical acclaim with 16 Emmy® ® Award nominations, including nods of Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.
  • The consumer products program extends across numerous categories. The program is anchored by apparel and supported by the gaming and wireless categories.
  • The 2005 DVD release of Season 1 generated more than $11.7 million in consumer spending worldwide.

Columbo

Peter Falk stars as Lieutenant Columbo, a homicide detective with the Los Angeles Police Department. Running for seven seasons and followed by a series of TV movie specials, the show popularized the inverted detective story format; allowing the audience to witness the murder at the beginning of each episode. Many suspects, and even his own colleagues, wrongly underestimated Columbo's capabilities due to his crumpled trench-coat, beat-up car and bumbling manner, yet despite his appearance, Columbo invariably solves his cases by playing close attention to the minor inconsistencies in a suspect's story and his signature technique of asking "just one more thing".

MAGNUM PI
First aired from 1980 to 1988, Tom Selleck stars as Thomas Magnum, a Former Naval Intelligence officer turned private investigator living in Oahu, Hawaii. Magnum lives in the guest house on the "Robin's Nest" estate of millionaire author Robin Masters in exchange for testing the estate's security. He is made to work under the strict and ever watchful eye of Jonathan Quayle Higgins III, a former British Army soldier who serves as the estate manager, and constantly patrols the grounds with his two highly trained Doberman Pinschers, Zeus and Apollo, who are always ready to pounce on Magnum. He seemingly lives a dream lifestyle and makes good use of the perks that come with working on the estate including driving Masters' red Ferrari as well as use of his high-tech equipment such as cameras and telescopes. However, he often finds himself at the end of Higgins's hard bargaining for use of these expensive toys.

MONK
Winner of five Emmy Awards, Monk is currently in its seventh series. Former San Francisco police detective, Adrian Monk, has suffered from OCD since the murder of his wife, Trudy, in a car bomb which Monk believed was intended for him. Despite his photographic memory and his amazing ability to piece tiny clues together, he is was discharged from the force and became a recluse, refusing to leave his house for over three years. However, with the help of his registered nurse Sharona, he is able to venture outside and work as a consultant for the homicide unit with the hope of convincing his former boss, Captain Stottlemeyer, to allow him to return to the force. But his OCD, and plethora of phobias, inevitably cause problems for Monk and his investigations. Yet these same personal struggles, particularly Monk's attention to detail, allow him to spot tiny discrepancies, find patterns, and make connections that others fail to make, aiding him to solve the cases no one else can.
