Hugh Laurie stars as Dr. Gregory House, a maverick but cynical medical genius, who heads a team of diagnosticians at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. House's sometimes unorthodox diagnostic approaches often result in much conflict between himself and his colleagues as they try to diagnose and treat the people of New Jersey and beyond in their nationally-renowned department. Now in its 5th Season, House was the most-watched scripted program on TV in the USA for the 2207-2008 Season and the show has won multiple awards including an Emmy Award for "Outstanding Writing" and two Golden Globes for "Best Performance".
